Program Overview
Welcome to Makeup & Hair Artistry Mentorship Program. The program will be a total of 26 hours in Makeup Art application training and 60 hours of Hair Styling Techniques. All instruction is focused on Bridal, Hair and Makeup application techniques. There will be up to 5 students in each class. Upon completion of this class students will receive a Certificate of Achievement from TSWA for Makeup & Hair Artistry.
This is an intense course involving hands-on training and demonstrations. Detailed handouts will be distributed at each class and students are encouraged to photograph the process step by step. There will be a final practical exam at the end of the course and students will accompany the instructor during a bridal makeup trial and wedding. We use only quality professional grade products in our instruction. We will also give a list of products we use and students will be able to take a look at our kits to have better knowledge.
Makeup Artistry
This instruction will focus on creating various bridal looks from classic to glamorous and cultural styles. To begin, the instructor will cover basics of applying foundation, highlighting, contouring the face before makeup application, eye shadow priming, application and blending, eyeliner application and applying false lashes. Each student will be required to bring a model to class. The instructor will demonstrate each step by step, and students will return to their stations to recreate the same. Students will be required to bring the following:
- A notebook
- Hand towel
- Q-tips
- Spray bottle filled with 70% rubbing alcohol
- Makeup Kit (to be purchased through TSWA – Optional – Pricing coming soon)
We provide a list of makeup products that students are required to bring to participate in the course. Alternatively, students can purchase a makeup kit that will include everything they will need to complete the course.
Upon completion of the Makeup & Hair Artistry Mentorship Program at our wedding school in Toronto, you will receive the following:
- Hands on experience and gaining confidence from being in the Mentorship Program and being immersed in the industry.
